SeisGramWeb

SeisGramWeb – an interactive viewer and wrapper for time-series web services

SeisGramWeb is an interactive, browser based viewer and analysis tool for seismograms obtained from time-series web services. SeisGramWeb runs within a browser on any platform, including portable devices, since it uses standard HTML and JavaScript.

.

Use SeisGramWeb

SeisGramWeb is invoked with 2 part http URL consisting of a request to the sgweb.html wrapper:

    http://alomax.free.fr/webtools/sgweb.html

followed by “?” and a query string which is a standard, time-series web service request URL, e.g.:

An example of a complete SeisGramWeb request is:

http://alomax.free.fr/webtools/sgweb.html?http://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/1/query?net=IU&sta=CCM&loc=00&cha=BHZ&start=2013-06-24T21:43:15.77&dur=3600&output=plot

You can compose a SeisGramWeb request by hand for insertion into a browser address bar or to use in a command line web request. For dynamic, flexible and automatic use, a SeisGramWeb request can be constructed within a program or script and included as a link within a web page (e.g., the BRB and HF links in the stream column in http://cnt.rm.ingv.it/early-est/warning/warning_list.html). A SeisGramWeb request URL can be invoked from any device on the internet.

Currently SeisGramWeb only supports the syntax of the IRIS Timeseries Webservice (http://service.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/1/).
